Cozy Toes Crochet Adult Slippers

Cotton #4 yarn (I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton)
This pattern is written for Average(Wide). Finished slipper measures 9 ½”
long x 3 ½” (4”) wide – to fit a woman’s shoe size 7/8.
INSTRUCTIONS:
You start at the toe working in rounds.
Round 1: make a magic ring and
ch 2 (does not count as first st here and throughout). Dc 12 in the ring and
join to the ch 2 with a sl st. (12 dc) Tighten ring.
Round 2: Ch 2, *dc in next
st, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from * to end. Join to ch2 with a sl st. (18 dc)
Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in next 2
sts, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from * to end. Join to ch2 with a sl st. (24 dc)
Round 4: Ch 2, *dc in next
11(3) sts, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from * to end. Join to ch2 with a sl st.
(26(30) dc)
Round 5: Ch 2, dc in each st
to end. Join to ch2 with a sl st, (26(30) sts)
Rounds 6-12: Repeat Round 5
(26(30) sts)
From here you will be working in rows.
Row 13: Ch 2, dc in the
first 20(22) sts. Leave the remaining sts unworked. Turn.
Row 14: Ch 2, dc in each st.
20(22) sts. Turn.
Rows 15-22: Repeat
Row 14.
Finishing: Fold the last row
in half, RS together. On WS, Ch 1 and sl st through both layers, sl st down the
back of the slipper to join the seam. On
RS, sl st back to the top of the slipper making the seam as flat as possible.
Edging: RS, Ch 1, sc evenly
around the foot opening, sl st to beginning ch1. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Make two. Both feet are made the same. You can make the slipper longer
or shorter if necessary by doing more or less rows at instruction Rows 15-22.
