Crochet Adult Beanie Hat
I made this hat for hubby. It crochets up real quick using double crochet stitches, a larger crochet hook and a thicker yarn. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn. The finished dimensions laying flat are approx 11" in diameter and 8" in height.

Size J hook
Rnd 1: Make a magic ring, ch 2, 14 dc in ring
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in same stitch, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next stitch**, Repeat from * to ** around (21 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 3: Ch 2, dc in same stitch, *dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next stitch**, Repeat from * to ** around (28 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 4: Ch 2, dc in same stitch, *dc in next 3 st, 2 dc in next stitch**, Repeat from * to ** around (35 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 5: Ch 2, dc in same stitch, *dc in next 4 st, 2 dc in next stitch**, Repeat from * to ** around (42 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 6: Ch 2, dc in same stitch, *dc in next 5 st, 2 dc in next stitch**, Repeat from * to ** around (49 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 7: Ch 2, dc in same stitch, *dc in next 6 st, 2 dc in next stitch**, Repeat from * to ** around (56 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 8: Ch 2, dc in ea sc around (56 dc), sl st to beg ch 2
Rnd 9-15: Repeat Rnd 8, fasten off and weave in ends.
To get the stripes in the hat: change color in Rnds 13 and 14, change back to main color in Rnd 15.
