The Best Crochet Slippers
#5 yarn (I used Sensations Rainbow Classic yarn)
6mm hook (I used a hook with an ergonomic handle. You can buy these hooks in my eBay store: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261390102244)
INSTRUCTIONS:
To fit a woman’s shoe size 7/8.
You start at the toe working in rounds.
Round 1: make a magic ring and
ch 2. Hdc 9 in the ring and join to the ch 2 with a sl st. (9 hdc) Tighten
ring.
Round 2: Ch 2, hdc in same
st as joining, 2hdc in each st around. Join to ch2 with a sl st. (18 hdc)
Round 3: Ch 2, hdc in same
st as joining, *hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from * to end. Join
to ch2 with a sl st. (24 hdc)
Rounds 4-14: Ch 2, hdc
around. Join to ch2 with a sl st. (24 hdc)
From here you will be working in rows.
Rows 15-21: Ch 2, hdc 21
sts. Leave the remaining sts unworked. Turn.
Rows 22-23: Ch 2, hdc 9 sts,
sl st 3 sts, hdc 9 sts. Turn.
Row 24: Ch 1, sc around, sl
st to beginning ch1.
Finishing: Fold the last row
in half, RS together. On WS, sl st through both layers down the back of the
slipper to join the seam. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Make two. Both feet are made the same. You can make the slipper longer
or shorter if necessary by doing more or less rows at instruction Rows 15-21.
