# 4 yarn
5mm circular needles (I used 24" bamboo circular needles)
To fit 3-12 mths
Head circumference 14”-18”
Finished size: 6” wide, 8” long (5 ½” with brim turned up)
Cast on 68 sts, join to first stitch
Round 1: Knit 2, purl 2 around
Rounds 2-30: Repeat Round 1
Round 31: *Knit 2, knit 2 together, repeat from * around
Round 32: Knit
Round 33: *knit 1, knit 2 together, repeat from * around
Round 34: Knit
Repeat Rounds 33 and 34 until 11 sts remain.
Cut yarn leaving a 14" tail.
Thread yarn through the 11 sts. Remove stitches from needle. Pull yarn to close tight. Fasten off and weave in ends.
