Great pattern! Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's so cute, I can't wait to make it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cute. I started it and found my first row had to be 36 stitches instead of 34. I then found that I don’t understand the directions for Row 2. Help!
ReplyDeleteRow 2: dc in dc, 3 dc in middle dc of 3 dc of row below, across, ch 3, turn
ReplyDeleteFor row 2 you are going to crochet a dc in each of the dc in row 1. When you get to the 3dc in row 1 you will crochet 3dc in the middle dc instead of 1dc. So dc across but do 3dc in the middle dc of the 3dc in row 1.
Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI’m soooo confused about row 3. Please help! Thanks
ReplyDeleteI meant row 8. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteRow 8 is where you make your armholes.
DeleteDC in the first 12 sts. That brings you to the center st of a 3dc in Row 7. Skip the next 21 sts. That brings you to the center st of the next 3dc in Row 7. Fold your work so that you can DC in that center st. That makes the first armhole. DC in next 21 sts. That brings you to the center st of the next 3dc in Row 7. Skip the next 19 sts. That brings you to the center st of the next 3dc in Row 7. Fold your work so that you can DC in that center st. That makes the second armhole. DC the next 15 sts across to the end of the row, ch 3 and turn.
Love this little onesie, been looking for one and this one is easy and perfect size!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to make this little cutie! Hope I can figure out how to make bigger sizes and have them look right :+)
ReplyDeleteJust made it came out nice. How do I make it bigger?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I haven't written a pattern for a bigger size.
DeleteI cannot get 42 stitches on the first row. So, I chained 36 and not 35. I still get 41 stitches on the first row.
ReplyDeleteI think you're forgetting to count the ch3 at the end of the row as a stitch. I've added the stitch count in () at each point along the row so you can see how it gets to be 42 dc at the end of the row:
DeleteCh 35
Row 1: dc in 3rd chain from hook (1dc), this is the first stitch, dc in next 5 chains (6dc), 3 dc in next ch (9dc), dc in next 6 ch (15dc), 3dc in next ch (18dc), dc in next 6ch (24dc), 3 dc in next ch (27dc). dc in next 6 ch (33dc), 3 dc in next ch (36dc), 5 dc to end (41dc), ch 3 (42dc), turn (42dc)
