#6 yarn (I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn)
10mm knitting needles (I used bamboo 32" circular needles – you can buy these here)

Abbreviations:
K = knit
K2tog = knit two stitches together
P = purl
P2tog = purl two stitches together
st(s) = stitch(es)
yo = yarn over

Special Stitch:
Bobble = Move last st on right needle to left needle, K1, move last st on right needle to left needle, K1.


Instructions:
Loosely cast on 93 sts.
Row 1: K8, (P7, K7) across, K1.
Row 2: P8, (K7, P7) across, P1.
Row 3: K4, yo, K2tog, K2, *P3, yo, P2tog, P2, K3, yo, K2tog, K2, repeat from * across, K1.
Row 4: P8, (K7, P7) across, P1.
Row 5: K2, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K2tog, K1, *P1, P2tog, yo, P1, yo, P2tog, P1, K1, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K2tog, K1, repeat from * across, K1.
Row 6: P8, (K7, P7) across, P1.
Row 7: K3, K2tog, yo, K3, *P2, P2tog, yo, P3, K2, K2tog, yo, K3, repeat from * across, K1.
Row 8: P8, (K7, P7) across, P1.
Repeat Rows 2-8 eight more times.
Last Row: K8, (P7, K7) across, K1. Bind off all sts.

Bobble Edging:
Row 1: Beginning at corner of bound-off edge, *evenly pick up and knit 5-6 sts across each square, repeat from * across and continuing along each side.
Row 2: K1, *work 4 sts in next st, turn, P4, slip next st, turn, K2tog, Bobble, K1, pass first st on right needle over next st, Bobble, K1, pass first st on right needle over next st, Bobble, K2tog, pass first st on right needle over next st, bind off 3 sts. Repeat from * around edge. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
