Crochet Shanti Beanie Hat  

Slouchy beanie crocheted in cotton yarn. One size. Fits most adults.

Materials:

#3 Cotton blend yarn (I used Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend)

6mm crochet hook

Abbreviations:

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

sl st = slip stitch

fpdc = front post double crochet

bpdc = back post double crochet

Instructions:

Round 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, 10 dc in ring. Join with a sl st. (10 dc)

Round 2: Ch 1,  2 dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st. (20 dc)

Round 3: Ch 1,  *2 dc in first dc, 1dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. (30 dc)

Round 4: Ch 1, *2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc,* Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. (40 dc)

Round 5: Ch 1, *2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc,* Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. (50 dc)

Round 6: Ch 1, *2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 4 dc,* Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. (60 dc)

Rounds 7-15: Ch 1, 1 dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st. (60 dc)

Rounds 16-20: Ch 3 (counts as a dc), *fpdc around first dc, bpdc around next dc,* rep from * around. Join with a sl st to beg Ch 3. (60 dc)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
