V Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket

10mm crochet hook

 

 

Abbreviations:

Ch = chain

Sc = single crochet

Sk = skip

Sp = space

St = stitch

Ch-sp = chain space

 

 

Special Stitches:

V Stitch: Insert hook into the next st and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through one loop, yarn over again and pull through the remaining 2 loops on hook.

 

 

Instructions:

Ch 50. 

Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 3, sk next st, V st in next, *ch 1, sk next st, V st in next st. Repeat from * to end. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 2, V st in ch-sp, *ch 1, V st in next ch-sp. Repeat from * to end. Turn.

Rows 4-32. Repeat Row 3.

Row 33: Ch 1, 1 hdc in each st and ch-sp across to end. Do not turn.

 

Row 34: Ch 1. Sc down the side of the blanket. Fasten off and weave in ends. Rejoin yarn on opposite side in the corner and sc down the other side of the blanket. Fasten off and weave in ends.
