Crochet Chemo Cap - Free Pattern

6mm crochet hook

Finished size laying flat: 9 ¼” wide, 7 ½” tall

Instructions:
Round 1: Magic ring, Ch 1, 10 hdc in ring. Join with sl st to first hdc. (12dc)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in same st as join, 2hdc in each st around. Join with sl st to 1st hdc  (20 hdc)
Round 3: Ch 1, 2 hdc in same st as join. * 1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to 1st hdc. (30 hdc)
Round 4: Ch 1, 2 hdc in same st as join. * 1 hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to 1st hdc. (40 hdc)
Round 5: Ch 1, 2 hdc in same st as join. * 1 hdc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from *around.  Join with a sl st in 1st hdc. (50 hdc)
Round 6:  Ch 1, 1 hdc in each St around. Join with a sl st in 1st hdc. (50 hdc)
Round 7: Ch 1, 2 hdc in same st as join. * 1 hdc in next 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from *around.  Join with a sl st in 1st hdc. (60 hdc)
Rounds 8-10: Ch 1, hdc in each st around.  Join with a sl st in 1st hdc. (60 hdc)
Round 11: Ch 1, Sc in same st as join, Ch 2, Sc in same St, Skip 2 Sts, *Sc in Next St, Ch 2, Sc in same St, Skip next 2 Sts* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in 1st hdc. (20 ch 2 sp)
Round 12: Sl St in 1st Ch 2 Sp, 3 Dc in same Sp, *3 Dc in next Ch 2 sp (Shell Made)* Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in 1st dc. (20 Shells)
Round 13:  Sl St in next Dc (Center Dc of Shell St), Ch 1,* Sc, Ch 2, Sc -All in same St, Skip 2 Dc* Repeat from * around. Join with a Sl St to the 1st Sc (20 Ch 2 Sp)
Rounds 14 – 16: Repeat rows 11 & 12
Round 17:  Ch1, hdc around (60 hdc)
Rounds 18-21: Ch1, sc in each st around. Join with a Sl St to the 1st Sc (60 sc)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

    1. After you copy the text, right click and choose "Paste as plain text". That will remove all the background from the text.

  5. Rounds 14 – 16: Repeat rows 11 & 12 does not make sense to me. Don't know what Im doing wrong. I get 21 chain spaces. Should it be repeat 12 than 11?

    1. If you get 21 ch sp instead of 20, it sounds like you're creating an extra stitch at the beginning. Make sure you only have 60hdc on round 10 and that you join to the first hdc from row 10, and make the first sc in that same hdc where you joined.
