Chunky Tunisian Double Stitch Blanket - Super Bulky #6

I used a self striping yarn (Red Heart Super Easy Stripes) that was designed to make a striped scarf. I figured it would make a great yarn for a blanket with a variegated, irregular stripe pattern.
Size: 40” x 60”
Materials
#6 yarn
10mm Tunisian
hook with cable
Instructions:
Chain 80
Row 1: Insert hook in 2nd chain from hook, pull up a loop. Continue across (80 loops)
Return pass:
yarn over, pull through 1 loop, *yarn over, pull through 2 loops. Repeat from *across.
Row 2: Tunisian Double Stitch (TDS).
Forward Pass: *Yarn over, Insert hook under next vertical bar, Yarn over, pull up a loop, Yarn over, pull through 2 loops. Repeat from * across to last stitch. Last stitch, insert hook under both loops of edge stitch, Yarn over, pull up a loop, Yarn over, pull through 2 loops. (80 loops)
Return pass: yarn over, pull through 1 loop, *yarn over, pull through 2 loops. Repeat from *across.
Additional
Rows: Repeat Row 2 to desired length.
Bind off. Work slip stitches across - insert hook, yarn over, pull through both loops. Fasten off and weave in ends.
