  1. Hi, we met you at the fair today and loved your accent, I wanted to let you know that you did have the booties on your blog, I didn't want you to print it. I will try the tunisian needle and will try to see you next . Diane

  2. Do your directions mean 4 balls of yarn or #4 yarn and only one? How many rows did you do in each color?

    1. The weight of the yarn is #4. The yarn I used (Sensations Little Treat) is a variegated yarn which produced the stripe pattern.

    1. How many yards is that yarn? I'm using a Vanna White yarn (1 skein) and I'm about to run out of yarn on row 25. Amount in Balls/skeins or YARDS would be very useful.
      PS, love this pattern!

  7. The finished size of the blanket will be slightly smaller using a smaller yarn. You could use a bigger hook than recommended for your yarn size which will produce a similar size blanket to this one using #4 yarn.

  8. I would like to make this a bit larger.....20" x 24". Could you please tell me how many stitches I should start with. Thank you. I am so anxious to crochet this. It will be my very first project.

    1. I'm sorry I don't have a pattern for this in a larger size.

    2. To make it wider wouldn't I just chain more stitches and then continue to crochet until it was 24" long? And, I would, make the necessary adjustment for the slits. Just wanted to know how many more stitches to start with if I used the #4. Of course, I would need more yarn.

    3. Yes you would increase the starting chain but it's not quite that simple. You need to increase in multiples of the stitch pattern and then work out where to place the buckle.

    1. Any #4 yarn would be fine. I'd choose something soft as it's for a baby.

  14. I have a one-track mind. How many skeins is needed for the crochet baby car seat blanket in shell stitch and what do you substitute for for Bernat Softee Baby? I have not been able to find that yarn. Also, how many skeins does it take for the car seat blanket in the primrose stitch?

  15. I used one skein of Sensations Little Treat. You can use any #4 yarn. Just make sure it's a soft yarn as it's for a baby.
