Instructions:

Glove:

Chain 26, join to first ch with sl st

Rnds 1-7: Ch2 (does not count as hdc here and throughout), hdc in each chain around, join to beg ch with sl st (26 hdc)

Rnd 8: Ch2, hdc in next 9 sts, Ch8, skip next 8 sts, hdc in remaining 9 sts, join to beg ch2 with sl st

Rnd 9: Ch2, hdc in each st around, hdc in each ch, join to beg ch2 with sl st (26 hdc)

Rnds 10-12: Ch2, hdc in each st around, join to beg ch2 with sl st (26 hdc)

Rnd 13: Ch2, hdc2tog x2, hdc around, join to beg ch2 with sl st (24 hdc)

Rnd 14:  Ch2, hdc2tog x2, hdc around, join to beg ch2 with sl st (22 hdc)

Rnds 15-17: Ch2, hdc in each st around, join to beg ch2 with sl st (22 hdc)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Mitten Top:

Join yarn on the back of mitten with a slt st, 5^th row from the top, at the side edge by the thumb.

Rnd 1: Ch1, sc in same st, make 12 sc across the back of the mitten, ch 15, join with a sl st to beg ch1

Rnds 2-4: Ch2, hdc in each st around and in each ch (28hdc)

Rnd 5: Ch2, hdc2tog, hdc in next 12 sts, hdc2tog, hdc in next 12 sts, join with a sl st to beg ch2 (26hdc)

Rnd 6: Ch2, hdc2tog, hdc in next 11 sts, hdc2tog, hdc in next 11 sts, join with a sl st to beg ch2 (24hdc)

Rnd 7: Ch2, hdc2tog, hdc in next 10 sts, hdc2tog, hdc in next 10 sts, join with a sl st to beg ch2 (22hdc)
